Located in the original shop where pharmacist Caleb Bradham invented Pepsi in 1898, the Birthplace of Pepsi-Cola offers visitors the chance to learn more about the soft drink's history and enjoy a Pepsi from a re-created soda fountain. The store carries an extensive variety of Pepsi-related memorabilia for sale such as home or office decor items, jewelry and a huge selection of apparel. Considering the fact that Pepsi-Cola invented the American image of Santa Claus as a marketing tool in 1922, Christmas items are prevalent in the store as well. The Birthplace of Pepsi-Cola is located off the Atlantic coast in downtown New Bern.
